Say hello to the EVO-X, our latest addition to the XC family. This board was created during our own endeavour to take our finger strength to the next level during the 2020 spring COVID lockdown. We wanted more…errr less!?
Here are some of the unique features of the EVO-X
- The first thing you notice is that the EVO-X is smaller than the ProEvo and Classic. And that is because we wanted to distill this thing down to a compact tool with just a few key components to help us all develop crazy finger strength.
- The second feature you will notice as you grab the board is that the edges have a symmetrical layout so that you maintain the same shoulder posture whether on the 30mm edges, 10mm edges or the monos. It’s just more comfortable!
- Third, is the slopers with their distinctive wave feature. This is as much aesthetic as it is to eliminate ‘the nestle’ – fitting ones index finger into the notch between the sloper holds. Some may say, “10mm, but only 45º?” Well, we have 10mm after 30mm, 20mm and 14mm to progress on. We have chosen to go with 40º and no steeper for the same reason of progression. Because we can always add weight if it is too ‘doable’!
- Made in Italy. We are proud to live, climb and work in Italy and to support like minded businesses so this board, like our others, is designed and made in Italy of European-sourced ash wood.
